3. How Consistent Branding is Being Challenged in the Digital Age

One line from this post really got my attention: “Research shows that businesses with well-managed, consistent brands are worth up to 20% higher than those who aren’t.” 20%. I’d love to see that research, but the thinking is certainly sound, as well as the challenge. Given the sheer volume of channels that carry your brand and message to your prospects and customers (to say nothing of the many, many individuals who can now contribute to both) how do you ensure consistency and continuity? 4. QR Codes: Misunderstood? Or Are We Missing the Point?

Just last week I scanned a QR code at Marketo’s Revenue Rockstar event here in Austin (we’re exhibiting in Silicon Valley if you’d like to swing by and say hello) and it led me to just another web page. One that wasn’t clearly connected with the piece of collateral I started with, no less. This post from Allison King at Engage is one of the better pieces I’ve seen on QR codes; insofar as it drives home two messages that I think are missed rather frequently when organizations start experimenting with them – relevance and plan.
