Perhaps our relationship isn&#039;t working because you are focused on an assumption that what you are doing is optimal and appropriate, and the issues come from how I use your inputs. 

It&#039;s funny: when I think about our problems, I focus on the things I&#039;d like you to do differently!

It&#039;s most likely that we both contribute to the problem, and the solution isn&#039;t me communicating better with you--it&#039;s us both sitting down and developing a shared, working relationship with adjustments and commitments from both sides.
