First, cheers to our friends at ReachForce!
The big questions you need to ask yourself are:
1) When was the last time I bought something from a cold call or direct mail piece?
2) Do you enjoy receiving cold calls and direct mail?
3) Do you fast forward through TV ads using your DVR?
4)How often do you click on banner ads?
5) Given those answers, why are cold calls and direct mail and interruption advertising such a big part of your marketing budget?
Marketing Gurus like Seth Godin and David Meerman Scott are onboard with inbound marketing (see their videos at http://inboundmarketing.blip.tv ) so you really should think about it. Even if you don’t use HubSpot software for inbound marketing, you should think about how your company can embrace inbound marketing so you don’t get left behind on the next wave of marketing.

Very helpful points for your company to get found on the web. And I agree with Ted that cold calls don’t really sell like they used to. Similarly, getting found online also applies to you as a person who is seeking a job. Everyone has a resume. http://www.personavita.com allows you to create a professional website with all your past work experience. Then you can give out a URL that points to your portfolio. It’s a great way to personally “get found online.”
