The world of B2B Marketing continues to evolve, as we are each working our way through we run into tips and tricks that change the way we do our job.  My friends at ReachForce have so graciously offered me an opportunity to jump back in and share what I’m learning on The B2B Lead.  Thank you ReachForce!  I look forward to helping you continue your mission to provide B2B sales and marketers with the insight needed to do their job today.

This one is nothing new, just something I think all B2B Marketers should be taking advantage of, so I thought it was worth a reminder.

Cleaning off my desk this morning and I find my copy of Hubspot’s Twitter for Business eBook. As I was flipping through it on my way to the recycle bin (wondering why I printed it to begin with???), I ran across a great idea I’d forgotten about – Favorites!

The ‘Favorites’ feature in Twitter is a GREAT way to maintain an updated list of partner praises, prospect questions, comments and customer testimonials.  Hubspot says and I completely agree, “third‐party testimonials are valuable by showing the public what other people think of your company” without them having to ask you directly.

It’s easy, so there’s really no excuse for not starring your best tweets.  Here’s how:

  • Find the star on the left side of your Twitter stream
  • Click that star when you find a complimentary tweet or a question others may be wanting an answer to
  • When you click the star, that tweet gets added to your Favorites Tab.
  • Next time someone asks for a reference you can send them to your Favorites page.  The URL for this page will be http://twitter.com/USERNAME/favorites.

So while you continue to do great work for your customers and are busy working on formal customer case studies, Twitter favorites is easy and is a public way of letting people know what your customers, prospects, partners and known thought leaders think of you.
